Former People's Power lawmaker Kim Young-sun attended the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office at around 9:30 a.m. today (3rd).
Before attending, former lawmaker Kim explained his various suspicions to reporters.
First of all, he denied the allegations completely, saying that he had nothing to do with him about the alleged nomination of a quid pro quo.
Let's listen to former lawmaker Kim Young-sun.
[Kim Young-sun / All People's Power: This is embezzlement to me, but Kang Hye-kyung broke the Political Fund Act. So, this Kang Hye-kyung took care of all violations of the Political Fund Act in the history of Korea. That has nothing to do with me.]
He then said he knew Myung Tae-kyun helped him in the election, but insisted that he had never spoken to Yoon Suk Yeol's president or First Lady Kim Gun-hee before and after the presidential election.
In addition, he said he had not heard of any recording of the phone call between President Yoon and Myung recently released by the Democratic Party of Korea.
The Changwon District Prosecutors' Office is investigating former lawmaker Kim's alleged violation of the Political Fund Act.
It is the second time that former lawmaker Kim has attended since he was a reference in June.
Former lawmaker Kim is accused of handing over 90 million won to Myung Tae-kyun dozens of times after being elected in a by-election in June 2022.
The prosecution suspects the money that went to Myung as a reward for the nomination.
In addition, we are analyzing tablet PCs and mobile phones that have been secured by seizure and search of Myung's home twice.
Earlier, Kang Hye-kyung, former lawmaker Kim's accounting manager, claimed that Myung helped the president in the last presidential election and made Kim win the nomination in return.
The prosecution compared 27,000 recorded files secured from Kang Hye-kyung, and plans to call Kang back to investigate if necessary.
In addition, the summons of Myung Tae-kyun, a key figure in the suspicion, is expected to take place this week.
So far, I've delivered it from the national department.
