The Overseas Koreans' Office has appointed Lee Ki-sung, a former official at the Korean Embassy in Indonesia, as the director of overseas Koreans' policy.
After joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2000, Lee Ki-sung, the new policy director, served as the second secretary of the Embassy of Japan, the first secretary of the Embassy of the Philippines, and the first secretary of the Office of Strategy and Finance, the first director of Northeast Asia, the deputy director of the Embassy of China, and the deputy director of the Embassy of Indonesia.
