U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will watch the vote at her alma mater Howard University on presidential night, AFP reported on the 4th.

Howard University in Washington is one of the best traditional black colleges and is also called the "Black Harvard University."

Harris graduated from the university back in 1986 and visited Howard University at every important moment in her life.

Vice President Harris also said in the Democratic primary of the 2019 presidential election, when she was a candidate, that her whole thing started at Howard University.

Harris said that Howard University was one of the most important parts of her life when she first challenged for the position of student representative at the time.

Vice President Harris also attended an event held at Howard University Amphitheater in August while preparing for a debate with former President Trump and encouraged students to "run for president of the United States one day."

Harris played a debate club when she was a student at Howard University and also participated in anti-racism protests.

It also served as Alpha Kappa Alpha, the largest female student organization in the United States, which was founded in 1908 and now has more than 300,000 national members.

Howard University is a private university established by Congress in 1867, two years after the end of the Civil War, named "Christian General" and named it after Oliver Howard from the North who promoted higher education for liberated slaves.

Among the graduates are author and Nobel Prize winner Tony Morrison and the first black justice Thurgood Marshall.
