Former U.S. President Donald Trump won the 47th U.S. presidential election held on the 5th local time, re-entering the White House for the first time in four years.

Former President Trump, a Republican presidential candidate, and Senator JD Vance, a vice presidential candidate, won 276 out of a total of 538 electors, beating Democratic political and vice presidential candidates Kamala Harris-Vice President Tim Walz of Minnesota, according to a CNN tally.

Former President Trump won Pennsylvania (19 electors), Georgia and North Carolina (16 electors) and Wisconsin (10 electors) by 1 to 3 percentage points, respectively, among the seven major contending states that determine the presidential election.

It was also 2 to 5 percentage points ahead in the remaining three contending states, Michigan (15 electors), Arizona (11 electors) and Nevada (6 electors), which are in the second half of the vote.

In the poll, former President Trump and Vice President Harris predicted a close game until the end, but Trump won easier than expected as the presence of "Shy Trump" voters, who are not caught in the poll, showed off their power again this time.

Former President Trump declared his presidential victory in a speech in front of supporters gathered at the Palm Beach Convention Center in Florida, where he is home, just before securing a majority of the electorate.

"I want to thank the American people for having the honor of being elected as the 45th and 47th president," he said, adding, "I will help America heal, I will fix its borders, I will fix everything about America."

Former President Trump was recorded as the oldest president in history at the time of his inauguration, and the president who left the Oval Office and then won the election again.

The president's work will begin after the inauguration on January 20th next year.

In addition to a total of four criminal prosecutions and some guilty verdicts (related to sex scandal gag payments), former President Trump made a political comeback by overcoming a series of major crises this year, including two assassination attempts.

The Democratic Party tried to turn the tables on Vice President Harris as its new candidate after incumbent President Joe Biden, who revealed cognitive decline due to his old age (81), announced his abandonment of his re-election bid on July 21, but ultimately failed to extend the regime.

Former President Trump cannot serve a third term as president under the U.S. Constitution, so he cannot serve a second term in office for four years in the future.

Former President Trump pushes for first term in office if he returns to White House It is expected to expedite the unfinished "America First" policy.

In that case, the U.S. diplomatic stance after World War I, which has intervened in international disputes by claiming to be the world's police, the leader of liberal democracy, is likely to have a transition period over the next four years.

Ukraine, which has been in the war with Russia for two years and nine months with enormous support from the Biden administration in the United States, is expected to be at a critical crossroads on how to fight the war.

The U.S. alliance-oriented stance in the liberal democratic camp, which has continued to the Biden administration, is also expected to change to a deal-oriented relationship when the second term of former President Trump's presidency is launched.

The South Korea-U.S. alliance, which has played an important role under the South Korea-U.S. mutual defense treaty, is also likely to be embroiled in turbulence due to former President Trump's demand for a large increase in defense costs (South Korea's share of the cost of stationing U.S. troops in South Korea).

As for North Korea, former President Trump, who met with Kim Jong-un three times during his first term in office, is unlikely to engage in bold top-down diplomacy with North Korea again, drawing attention to the possibility of bringing about changes in the current situation on the Korean Peninsula of sharp conflict and confrontation.

In terms of trade, former President Trump has pledged to seek to rebuild the U.S. domestic manufacturing base by significantly strengthening his protectionist stance, which uses expanded tariffs as a weapon.

If this is carried out in earnest after entering the White House, there will be a lot of rupture with South Korea and the European Union (EU), which have been linked to the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

The second term of Trump's administration is likely to carry out large-scale deportations of illegal immigrants and pledges to close the southern border in terms of border security, and the Biden administration's enhanced climate crisis response policy is also likely to weaken sharply along with former President Trump's massive implementation of fossil energy development pledges.

At the same time, the Republican Party secured at least 51 seats in the federal Senate (100 seats in total). This gives the Republican Party a big boost to its second term in Trump's administration, retaking the Senate majority for the first time in four years.

The House of Commons has yet to confirm its majority.

Some predict that the principle of "check and balance" that has supported existing U.S. democracy could be put to the test, with the U.S. Supreme Court also reorganizing into a 6-3 solid conservative advantage during its first term in power.
