The Korean Medical Association will decide on the future of Chairman Lim Hyun-taek, who caused controversy over his rude talk several times, and whether to form an emergency committee.
The Korean Medical Association will hold an extraordinary general meeting of representatives at 2 p.m. today (10th) at the Korean Medical Association Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
It is the second general meeting convened under Chairman Lim since August, and the non-confidence motion of Chairman Lim and the composition of the emergency committee will be put to a vote of delegates.
Those who proposed the impeachment argued that Chairman Lim should be held accountable, saying that he has tarnished his reputation as a doctor and doctor by pouring out rude remarks and misrepresentations several times.
If more than two-thirds of the delegates who attend more than three-thirds of the delegates agree to attend, Chairman Lim will have to resign in disgrace after six months in office.
Some predict that the formation of the emergency committee, which requires a majority of approval apart from the no-confidence bill, is likely to be passed.
Chairman Lim reportedly sent a letter asking for a chance to make up for the mistake and went around the provinces to focus on persuading delegates directly.
