Student athletes who were unable to participate in the competition due to their academic performance falling short of the standard will also be able to participate in the competition in the future.

The Ministry of Education announced that it will temporarily suspend the application of Article 11, Paragraph 1 of the School Sports Promotion Act after deliberation by the Active Administrative Committee.

The provision stipulates the minimum academic background system that the principal should not allow students to participate in the competition prescribed by Ordinance of the Ministry of Education if they do not reach a certain level of academic standards.
