ExxonMobil, a major U.S. oil company, also rebelled against President-elect Trump, saying the U.S. should not withdraw from the Paris Climate Change Convention.
The Wall Street Journal reported that ExxonMobil CEO Darren Woods has been at odds with the incoming administration.
CEO Woods pointed out that another U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Agreement, as Trump suggested, could increase uncertainty and disrupt the international community's efforts to combat climate change.
It also added that the change in policy does not benefit businesses as the administration changes.
During his first term in office, Trump picked Rex Tillerson, who served as ExxonMobil CEO, as his first secretary of state, and there was a friction.
