The court has decided not to allow Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, to film or broadcast the first trial of the case of violating the Public Official Election Act.
The request for live broadcasting, which erupted around the passport, failed, and the court in charge explained that it considered various legal interests.

The 34th Criminal Department of the Seoul Central District Court, which was in charge of the first trial of the election law of Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung, decided not to allow the live broadcast of the sentence.
Considering the relevant legal interests comprehensively, filming or broadcasting related to the judgment is not conducted.
It did not explain more specific reasons, but it appears that it judged that the negative impact, such as the confusion expected when the sentencing was broadcast live, was greater than the benefits resulting from it.
Following the Suwon District Court's refusal to accept the request for a live broadcast of the "North Korea Remittance Case," the election law sentence failed to be broadcast live, raising the possibility that the perjury teacher's trial scheduled for the 25th will not be broadcast live.
Apart from this, the application for the general public's admission ticket, which was held until the afternoon of the 12th, was closed and the lottery was completed.
Of the 100 seats in the middle court, 36 were allocated to the general public, excluding the seats of litigants and reporters,
Only dozens of people are expected to enter the courtroom, but thousands are expected to flock to Seocho-dong on the day of the sentence.
The court plans to add additional security personnel not only inside the court but also to the movement of the accused or the court.
