The Ministry of Health and Welfare has announced that it will unveil a second implementation plan within this year for rapid medical reform.
Deputy Minister of Health and Welfare Lee Ki-il made the remarks at a briefing on major achievements in the health and welfare sector held at the Seoul Government Complex.
In August, the Ministry of Health and Welfare prepared the first implementation plan for medical reform and is pushing for four tasks, including expanding medical personnel and rebuilding local medical care.
The second implementation plan will include a detailed plan for establishing a safety net for medical accidents and improving loss insurance.
In particular, the Ministry of Health and Welfare emphasized that it will focus its capabilities on persuading them to the end and minimizing public inconvenience by recognizing the reality that the return of majors and medical student leave of absence are not resolved.
In addition, major achievements in the health and welfare sector were the preparation of a single pension reform plan, strengthening support for pregnancy and childbirth medical expenses, notification of birth and protection of childbirth.
