Men in their 20s who sexually assaulted junior girls while attending high school have been convicted.
The Supreme Court today (14th) confirmed the original ruling, which sentenced those in their 20s accused of special rape and other charges to prison.
Accordingly, the main offenders A and B were sentenced to four years in prison and two and a half years in prison, while the remaining six defendants were sentenced to two and a half years in prison and suspended for three years.
Mr. A and Mr. B are accused of forcing sexual intercourse with a female student of their age who they knew at a lodging facility in Chungju in October 2020 when they were in high school.
The first trial acquitted some of the defendants, saying the victim's statements were inconsistent, and the second trial convicted all of the defendants, saying they were correct to commit adultery by force.
