The Nations League match between France and Israel, which took place under heavy security, is over.

During the Israeli national anthem, some spectators booed and there was a brief struggle in the Israeli cheering squad area, but there were no major clashes as the guards soon blocked it.

French authorities deployed 5,500 police around the stadium and public transport facilities and restricted spectators' admission after Israeli spectators were assaulted in the Netherlands last week.

As a result, fewer than 20,000 spectators entered the 80,000-seat stadium Stade de France.

Outside the stadium, hundreds of protesters carrying Palestinian flags condemned Israel's war in Gaza with signs saying they could not play against the killer.

The match ended in a 0-0 draw, with France securing second place in Group A2 to qualify for the quarterfinals.
