Court cites provisional injunction to suspend the effect of Yonsei University's occasional essay

The Seoul Western District Court today (15th) cited some applications for provisional injunction for suspension of validity filed by some test-takers in connection with allegations of "leakage of essay writing."

The court demanded a re-examination of the essay and decided to stop the follow-up process of the essay examination until it ruled on a class action filed by 34 people, including the examinees.

The court explained the background of the decision, saying that the fairness of the procedure is important as it depends on the results of the essay test to decide whether to pass or not.

In addition, it seems that some problems were leaked in the process of distributing the test papers an hour earlier, regardless of their intentions, and it was judged that the students' legitimate trust and right to expect were violated.

Earlier, 34 people, including Yonsei University's natural essay test takers, filed a collective lawsuit demanding a retest, saying the fairness of the test has been undermined.
