Vice Unification Minister "The situation has become difficult for the U.S. and North Korea to offer dialogue"

Vice Unification Minister Kim Soo-kyung evaluated that unlike Trump's first term, it has become difficult for the U.S. to actively propose dialogue with North Korea now.

Vice Minister Kim appeared on the KTV program today and said, "North Korea's dispatch of troops to Russia is threatening Europe and the world, and many people are turning their backs on North Korea."

He added that it is difficult to talk on the premise of denuclearization as North Korea continues to upgrade its nuclear weapons and even legalize them.

Vice Minister Kim stressed that the government will work closely with the new U.S. administration to coordinate policies from the stage of establishing foreign policy based on the strengthened Korea-U.S. alliance.
