North Korea has not reported the results of the U.S. presidential election for 10 days, raising questions about what it means.

Amid the recent close relationship with Russia, it is expected that the Trump administration will choose its future path according to the new message to North Korea.

I'm reporter Lee Jong-gu.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump showed off his close relationship by mentioning that he met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un three times during the first administration when he was a candidate.

He expressed confidence in his North Korea policy.

[Donald Trump / U.S. President-elect (last July): All Kim Jong-un wants is to buy and build nuclear weapons. I told you to calm down. I have enough nuclear weapons.]

North Korea has stuck to its existing line.

Just before the U.S. presidential election, he test-fired a new ICBM capable of hitting Washington, and Chairman Kim Jong-un and his sister Kim Yo-jong declared that they would not give up their nuclear force strengthening line one after another.

[Chosun Central TV: (Chairman Kim Jong-un) has made it clear again and again that he will never change the route of strengthening nuclear force under any circumstances.]

And he has not commented or reported on Trump's election for 10 days.

North Korea has been silent whenever a new president is elected from the United States, but has responded by issuing a statement when North Korea policy is issued.

Again, there are observations that the U.S. will be waiting for a new U.S. message to North Korea to be released.

[Cho Han-beom / Chair Researcher at the Korea Institute for National Unification: Kim Jong-un's stance on Trump will be evenly divided. There are expectations, but because there is a credibility issue with the character Trump....]

In the meantime, North Korea is provoking the United States by strengthening military honeymoon relations with Russia, including sending troops to the Ukrainian front.

First of all, it is expected to focus on confrontation rather than dialogue in U.S.-North Korea relations while keeping a close eye on the situation in Washington and choosing options.
