A senior who tripped a junior in the soccer team's ankle in middle school became an adult and received criminal punishment, not juvenile protection.

Chuncheon District Court fined 19-year-old A 1 million won for assault injury.

A was put on trial in January 2020, when he was 14 years old, on charges of tripping his junior 13-year-old B's foot in the middle school soccer club's dormitory and causing a fractured vertebrae.

Mr. A claimed that the victim only fell during the prank, and that there was no intention, and that there was no causal relationship with the injury that occurred several months later.

However, the court found the victim guilty on the day of the incident based on the fact that he briefly lost his mind and went to the emergency room and stated that A had intentionally walked in the investigative agency.

He then said that although the degree of injury is not light, he was fined considering that he was a first-time offender and that he was 14 years old at the time of the crime.
