A 20-year-old man who has been on trial for sexual violence crimes and has continued to commit malicious sexual crimes has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

The Yeongwol Branch of the Chuncheon District Court sentenced 23-year-old A, who was charged with sexual violence, sexual violence against minors, and special imprisonment, to eight years in prison and ordered the attachment of electronic anklets for 10 years and 7 years.

A is accused of imprisoning and sexually assaulting his girlfriend when his girlfriend caught her naked pictures and sexual videos of women stored on her cell phone from March to April last year.

A denied the crime altogether, but the investigation team found the crime reflected on the lid of the washing machine in the evidence video and was put on trial.

In particular, A was found to have committed another crime even though he had already sexually assaulted and threatened a woman he was dating in 2022 and was on trial for sexually assaulting a minor.

In addition, the prosecution added to the charges that A forcibly molested a woman he/she knew through the introduction of an acquaintance, and the court sentenced him/her to heavy punishment, saying that A did not reflect on the crime and continued to commit sexual violence against several victims, leaving little room for improvement.
