A flight from Sweden to the United States met turbulence over Greenland and quickly returned to Denmark.

Videos shared on social media vividly captured the dangerous situation at the time.

According to recent foreign media reports such as CNN, Scandinavian Airlines flight SK957 from Stockholm to Miami met turbulence over Greenland on the 14th and automatically shut down one engine.

The pilot restarted the engine and returned safely to Copenhagen after a total of 10 hours of flight.

Fortunately, there were no serious injuries, but 254 passengers had to panic.

The released video showed passengers floating in the air as the plane fluctuated due to turbulence, and some passengers hit their heads in the luggage compartment. Also, there were all kinds of things on the floor of the plane.

A passenger told CNN, "The woman sitting nearby flew up to the ceiling and fell without wearing a seat belt."

He added, "All the passengers must have hoped that they could get off the land quickly instead of flying over the sea," adding, "It's fortunate that they survived."

The airline said it offered hotels to passengers after arriving in Copenhagen and supported reservations for alternative flights.

Meanwhile, 37 passengers and 146 crew members were seriously injured due to turbulence from 2009 to 2023, according to the National Transportation Safety Commission.
