The Korean Bar Association has decided to discipline the law firm Continental Aju, which introduced free artificial intelligence-based legal services and then stopped it.

The Korean Bar Association held a disciplinary committee yesterday (18th) and decided to impose a fine of 10 million won on the continent and 5 million won on representative lawyers Kim Dae-hee and Lee Kyu-chul and Kang Woo-kyung, respectively.

We have decided to reprimand the other two representative lawyers.

Under the Lawyers Act, disciplinary action is divided into five categories: permanent expulsion and expulsion, suspension of up to three years, fines of up to 30 million won, and reprimand.

Earlier, in March, Continental State launched "AI Continental State," a service that provides legal questions and answers via online chat.

In response, the Korean Bar Association handed it over to the disciplinary committee in September to initiate disciplinary proceedings, saying that the advertisement phrase of the Continental State, which put forward "24-hour free counseling," may violate the Lawyers Act.
