[Gyeonggi] Governor Kim Dong-yeon asks National Assembly Budget Committee Chairman to increase state expenditure by 297.2 billion won

Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon met with Park Jeong, chairman of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts of the Democratic Party of Korea, at the National Assembly and asked for an increase of 297.2 billion won in the government budget for 15 projects.

Governor Kim said, "The government is going backwards in overcoming the difficult economy by tightening its finances under the guise of sound finance, and I hope it will be properly caught by the Budget and Accounts Committee."

He added, "Please help us with local currency issues, Ferry Sewol issues, budgets for small business owners, self-employed businesses, and ordinary people in need, and transportation problems."

Kim's requests for an increase include 48 billion won for Dobongsan-Okjeong wide-area railway to expand transportation infrastructure in northern Gyeonggi Province and balanced regional development, 31.9 billion won for Okjeong-Pocheon wide-area railway, and 70.8 billion won for GTX C line (Dukjeong-Suwon) to resolve traffic shortages in the Seoul metropolitan area.
