Actor Yoo Yeon-seok expressed his feelings about returning to MBC after nine years.
The production presentation of MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "The Phone You Called Now" was held at MBC's Golden Mouse Hall at 3 p.m. today (21st). Director Park Sang-woo, who directed the work, as well as actors Yoo Yeon-seok, Chae Soo-bin, Heo Nam-jun and Jang Gyu-ri attended the production presentation to talk about the work.
Based on the web novel of the same name, "The Phone You Called Now" is a secret romance thriller drama that unfolds when a show window couple, who have been married for three years, threatened that their wife was kidnapped one day.
Yoo Yeon-seok played Baek Sa-eon, the youngest presidential office spokesman, who has nothing missing from his family, appearance, and ability in the play, while Chae Soo-bin played Hong Hee-joo, the second daughter of the owner of Korea's top media company who married him politically.
Yoo Yeon-seok, who returned to MBC nine years after the drama "Mandorong Dot Dot" in 2015, said, "I left MBC, which was like my hometown, for a while. The first drama was 'General Hospital 2' taken with Cha Tae-hyun, and I have done several dramas since then. MBC is my hometown in the drama industry," he said.
He said, "It's been a while since I've met viewers with a new genre called romance thriller. I'm happy, excited, and looking forward to it," he said, expressing his expectations.
The phone you just called is scheduled to premiere at 9:50 p.m. tomorrow.
