While the Ukrainian military said that Russia had fired intercontinental ballistic missiles and ICBMs for the first time since the war, Western officials said that Russia did not appear to have fired ICBMs.

ABC reported that an unnamed Western official said the missiles Russia fired at Dnipro appeared to be ballistic missiles with a shorter range.

The distance from Astrahan to Dnipro, which was pointed out as the missile launch site, is about 1,200 kilometers, much shorter than the range of ICBMs more than 5,500 kilometers.

However, if it is true that Russia used ICBM, it is highly likely that it was a high-angle launch with an increased launch angle.
