The food industry is attracting attention as a gateway for young people to start businesses because it has a relatively lower entry barrier than other fields.
A start-up support facility has been created with a prototype production room, office space, and dormitory.
I'm reporter Kim Min-sung.

A co-production room where you can make prototypes of all kinds, from liquor to ice cream.
It has a private office space, a conference room, and a dormitory for one person.
A customized space for food start-up students, the Youth Food Start-up Center has been nestled in Iksan National Food Cluster in Jeollabuk-do, where food companies gather.
[Lim Chaerim / Start-up of craft beer: I'm an early founder of the company for three years. Food start-ups had a big cost problem because the equipment needed to develop prototypes was expensive. We plan to move into the center and use various facilities to receive support.]
The center will recruit 60 teams to receive start-up training and 50 teams to receive prototype production support.
Anyone between the ages of 19 and 39 with a start-up idea who has not been founded for more than seven years can apply.
[Kim Deok-ho / Chairman of the Korea Food Industry Cluster Promotion Agency: We have laid the foundation for young people who want to start a business to provide spatial and technical support for the practical use of prototypes and actual products in this complex space..]
The center plans to recruit prospective entrepreneurs early next year to help the entire start-up process for up to three years.
