[Gyeonggi] Ansan City Wins 'Excellent Award' for Supporting Foreign Residents of Local Governments Nationwide

Ansan City announced that it received the Excellence Award at the "2024 Best Practices Competition for Supporting Foreign Residents in Local Governments" organized by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security in recognition of its foreign resident support policy.The city of

said it was highly praised for providing customized support for each life cycle from infant care support to children and adolescents education and counseling for foreign children from migrant backgrounds, and secured 60 million won in special grant tax.

Among 53 cases submitted by local governments nationwide, eight institutions that passed expert and online screening to the public participated in the competition.

Ansan Mayor Lee Min-geun said, "We will continue to implement various policies to create a mutual cultural city where foreigners and Koreans can live together."
