Korea and Egypt will further strengthen development cooperation projects between the two countries to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year.
The Korea International Cooperation Agency and KOICA said Chairman Jang Won-sam visited Egypt for three days from the 20th to discuss ways to develop future-oriented relations and directions for official development assistance projects with senior government officials.Chairman
met with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli to present a vision to help innovate and grow the economy in education, public administration and industry by combining Korea's experience in digital and Egypt's potential.
He also visited the Ministry of Strategy and Economic Development and International Cooperation, Suwon's general ministry in charge of Egypt's Official Development Assistance (ODA), met with Minister Rania Al-Mashot, and exchanged memorandum of "Korea-Egyptian Technical University Education Capacity Enhancement and Teacher Training Project."
The project plans to invest $8 million by 2026 to prepare a practical curriculum tailored to the needs of local industries such as mechatronics and information and communication technology (ICT), and to contribute to graduate employment by solidifying the foundation for school operation.
