The final inspection of the first of the nine new carriages to be put into the airport railway was carried out.

Airport Railroad is pushing for an "increase project" to reduce congestion on trains and platforms by operating nine new trains in 2025, and to reduce the time of operation when users are concentrated to four minutes.

For the final inspection, Park Dae-soo, president of the airport railroad, and other officials from related fields visited the Hyundai Rotem plant (based in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province) for two days from Nov. 21 to Nov. 22.

The inspection team first checked the ▲ appearance deformation and damage of the 9 new trains under production ▲ structural stability of wheels ▲ body process such as appearance and color, and ▲ indoor facilities ▲ electric car rooftop facilities. In addition, the process of conducting pre-shipment quality inspections on the ▲ train control device ▲ driving device ▲ cooling and heating ventilation device ▲ broadcasting device, etc., which are initially scheduled to be shipped for the first time was also closely examined.

Starting with the initial release of the airport railway on the 28th, a total of nine new trains will be released sequentially, and the operation will begin in mid-2025 after a thorough verification process such as preliminary driving tests and trial tests.

The newly manufactured new train is a semi-high-speed train that can travel up to 150 kilometers per hour, 40 kilometers per hour faster than the current train, and is the highest speed specification among domestic urban railroads.
