Hundreds of North Korean soldiers have been killed when Ukraine attacked Russia's Kursk region with UK-backed Storm Shadow cruise missiles, local Ukrainian media reported.
RBC Ukraine, citing the Global Defense Corporation, a military media outlet, said more than 500 North Korean soldiers were killed and three others were injured in the Storm Saedo attack on the Kursk Marino area on the 20th.
The injured include two officers and a woman, and the woman may be an interpreter, the outlet added.
In addition, the airstrikes reportedly killed 18 Russian soldiers and injured 33 others, and many Russian officers were among those killed.
Earlier on the 20th, Ukraine used British-made Storm Shadow missiles to strike a building believed to be the headquarters of the Russian military in Kursk.
The Ukrainian and Russian forces have yet to make an official statement on the reports of the deaths of 500 North Korean soldiers.
