France, following the United States and Britain, has also indicated that it has lifted restrictions on Ukraine to use its long-range missiles for "attacks on Russian territory."

The BBC reported on the 23rd local time that French Foreign Minister Jean Noel Barro said in an interview that Ukraine could launch French long-range missiles to Russia under the "logic of self-defense."

"Principles have been set," Baro said, adding that he also delivered a message to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"There should be no red lines or limits on Western support for Ukraine," he said.

Barro did not say, however, whether Ukraine used French missiles.

The missile Scalp (SCALP) provided by France to Ukraine was jointly developed with the UK and is the same weapon as Storm Shadow, with only a different name.

It is an air-to-ground cruise missile that attacks ground targets from fighter jets and has an operational radius of 250 kilometers.

The Minister's comments are in line with the position of the French government, which has been in favor of striking military targets in Russia using Scalp.

Earlier, the U.S. lifted restrictions on the use of the tactical ballistic missile ATACMS (ATACMS), which has a range of about 300 kilometers, in mainland Russia, and the U.K. also approved the use of Storm Shadow.
