More than 40 households have been affected by landslides near Bolivia's capital, La Paz, which has recently been hit by drought-stricken rains in months.
In addition, six people who were rescued from the mud showed hypothermia, but no major injuries were reported.
Local authorities say the rain from the afternoon of the 23rd local time caused landslides when it flowed down all at once due to illegal buildings on the hill.
The landslide has cut off electricity in the neighboring area, and restoration work is underway.
No major damage has been reported elsewhere, local officials said.
