The People's Power lawmakers argued that the ruling itself was not logical and that the higher court should be watched over the acquittal of Lee Jae-myung on charges of perjury in the first trial.

Rep. Kwon Sung-dong said in a phone call with YTN that the court judged that the teacher had no intention, and pointed out that it was contradictory as representative Lee had already decided to apply for witnesses at the time of the call to Kim Jin-sung and even delivered the summary of his argument.
