The ruling party is embarrassed by the acquittal of Lee Jae-myung's perjury teacher in the first trial

"Perjury is guilty, the teacher is not guilty"...logical contradiction"

When Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, was acquitted in the first trial, he said that the power of the people respected the judgment of the judiciary, but responded that it was difficult to understand.

The perjury was admitted, but it is difficult to accept the judgment that the person who taught perjury is innocent, and he did not rule out the possibility of a different conclusion at the higher court.

When Lee Jae-myung's perjury teacher was acquitted in the first trial, the ruling party was apparently embarrassed.

This is because the possibility of guilt has been high, as the court dismissed the representative Lee's arrest warrant in September last year and said that the perjury teacher charge is a clarification.

The party leadership also replaced it in writing instead of directly expressing its position.

On his SNS, representative Han Dong-hoon said, "It is difficult to accept the judgment of the court, but as he admitted to the conviction of violating the election law on the 15th, I respect the ruling, and emphasized that the Democratic Party should respect it as well."

Floor leader Choo Kyung-ho also expressed his short position that he respects the judiciary's judgment, but it is regrettable.

However, there were fewer reactions within the party that the logic of the ruling, "I acknowledged the fact of perjury, but I did not admit the fact that I gave perjury," was contradictory.

Lawmakers from the legal profession also voiced their opinions that the ruling should be corrected at the higher court, saying it was outside common sense.

The court has acknowledged all the facts that representative Lee sent the summary of the argument, but the failure to admit the teacher's facts is not logically and legally correct.

The People's Power is expected to continue the offensive with Lee's already convicted violation of the Public Official Election Act and the risk of remaining trials.

However, some analysts say that the acquittal will inevitably disrupt the ruling party's plan to increase the firepower of the large-scale attack.
