Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol, who is attending the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting, held a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibihha to discuss trends in the war in Ukraine, including the dispatch of North Korean troops to Russia, and ways to support Ukraine.

Cho met with Sibihar in Fiji, Italy, where the G7 foreign ministers' meeting will be held, and said he was concerned that the dispatch of North Korean troops would bring the war in Ukraine into a new phase.

At the same time, the South Korean government said that it will take effective measures corresponding to the progress of military cooperation between North Korea and Russia and the threat to our security in stages.

In response, Sibihah emphasized the need for a response, saying that North Korea's dispatch of troops has raised common security concerns, and said he expects the special envoy to Ukraine to visit South Korea and continue related discussions in the near future.
