Jung Sung-ho of the Democratic Party of Korea pointed out that a bill to abolish the crime of publicizing false information under the Public Official Election Act, which Lee Jae-myung was convicted in the first trial, should not be unilaterally pushed forward.

In a radio interview, Chung said that there is a problem with asking the election committee and nullifying the election of a lawmaker elected by a sovereign to a fine of 1 million won, but said the revision of the election law is based on the agreement between the ruling and opposition parties.

He also sent a message to CEO Lee that he should not overreact after being acquitted of perjury in the first trial, and that he should remain calm and respectful of the judiciary, and Lee replied with a "heart" text.

Lawmaker Chung said there is a consensus that the party should respond in unison with representative Lee at a time when the administration is severely incompetent and runaway.

He added that when he met with Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon in person, he was very worried about the representative's trial and said he would be with the representative and the party.
