N.Korea may test ballistic missile this week: S.Korea

South Korea believes North Korea is preparing to test-fire a ballistic missile over the next few days, as the United States delays its own launch over soaring tensions on the peninsula.

Chief national security advisor Kim Jang-soo said the launch could come on or after April 10th, as Pyongyang has issued the date as a deadline for foreign missions to leave the country, following nuclear war threats against Washington.

North Korea reportedly moved two medium-range missiles to underground facilities near its east coast last week, with the missiles capable of striking American military bases in Guam.

Pyongyang warned diplomats in the country at the weekend that their safety could not be guaranteed after Wednesday, though most governments have made no immediate plans to withdraw their envoys.
