North Korea has claimed that it arrested two persons, who it branded as spies from South Korea, on charges of espionage activities.

The North's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Thursday that a press conference of Kim Guk-Gi, 60, and Choe Chun-Gil, 55, was held in Pyongyang to reveal their "terrorist" activities for the South earlier in the day.

KCNA also reported that Kim was arrested in Pyongyang last September, while Choe was apprehended by border guards after he sneaked in to North Korea last year-end. Both were charged with spying on the North and engaging in anti-Pyongyang campaign, it added.
