Pres. Park kicks off her state visit to Kenya

President Park Geun-Hye arrived in Nairobi yesterday (Monday, local time) for a state visit to hold summit talks with her Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta.

During her stay in Kenya, the third and last leg of her first official trip to the African continent, Park and Kenyatta will discuss measures on bilateral cooperation in infrastructure and new industrial sectors between the two countries, according to Park's aides.

North Korea issues will also be on the main agenda of the summit set to be held later today.

Park will also meet South Korean residents in Kenya as well as attend a business forum, a cultural event and a "Korea Aid" function for the largest East African economy.

She will move on to France on Wednesday for a four-day state visit to meet with President François Hollande.
