20s to 1st trial for writing threatening 'bombing Suseo Station and Gwangmyeong Station'

2024.09.30 오후 04:35
A man who falsely reported that he would blow up Suseo Station three years ago and Gwangmyeong Station this year was sentenced to prison in the first trial.

The Suwon District Court sentenced A, who was arrested and charged with intimidation and obstruction of hierarchical affairs, to one and a half years in prison and ordered treatment and supervision.

The court said the reason for the sentencing was that A was in a state of mental and physical weakness, but considered the fact that he committed the crime during probation.

Mr. A is accused of sending 133 government officials to the scene to search for explosives by posting a message on the website of the 119 Safety Reporting Center at around 9 p.m. on February 3 this year.

Earlier in 2021, A was sentenced to probation for making a threatening call to install explosives in Suseo Station.
