With the cool autumn breeze, unique festivals are being held throughout the region.

In Gimje, Jeollabuk-do, the only land of abundance where you can see the horizon, a horizon festival was held to wish for a good harvest by experiencing traditional agricultural culture.

There is an issue reporter on the scene. Reporter Seo Jihyun!

Yes, we are at the Gimje Horizon Festival in Jeollabuk-do.

You can cook your own rice there?

[Reporter]
Yes, it is.

As Gimje is the largest grain area in the country, you can experience cooking rice in a traditional way using Gimje rice.

I'm cooking rice with a cauldron by taking the fire off the furnace myself.

It's steaming and smells like savory rice, so should we open the lid of the cauldron?

I think the glossy delicious rice is well-made.

You can prepare a table with this finished rice and eat at the table right next to it.

Then let's listen to the stories of the families who are eating deliciously. Hello!

I've eaten deliciously cooked rice in the traditional way right away. What do you think? Is it more delicious?

[Kwon Iso / Chuncheon, Gangwon Province]
It's softer because it's built in a cauldron than in a rice cooker at home.

[Reporter]
Then, other than cooking rice, what else are you looking forward to this festival?

[Kwon Iso / Chuncheon, Gangwon Province]
It was fun to fly kites, catch grasshoppers, and make rice wearing straw shoes.

[Reporter]
Thank you for the nice words.

The Gimje Horizon Festival, which opened for the 26th time this year, is a venue to promote the forgotten traditional farming culture of our people to the world. The experience of catching grasshoppers in the golden Gimje Plain, as well as experiencing traditional agricultural equipment such as

'Yongdure' and 'Yeokdure' is popular with all family members.

The traditional school has a variety of classes where you can learn the spirit of Kimje's scholar.

In addition, there are a variety of programs, such as a zip line that burns on a beautifully decorated paddy field and an air bounce enjoyed in a playground made of rice straw.

This festival is a '5 Moo' festival without trash, rip-off charges, safety accidents, unkindness, and excessive protocol, which lasts for five days from today to the 6th.

There will also be various events such as standing tug-of-war, Ssangryongnori, and multimedia shows representing the festival.

Koreans need rice.

It would be nice to enjoy the traditional agricultural culture, the source of our power, and make rich autumn memories that will be reassuring until next year.

So far, I'm Seo Ji-hyun of YTN at the Gimje Horizon Festival in Jeollabuk-do.
