'New' Radio Engineering Department, 71% below the average competition rate from time to time.

It was found that the competition rate for radio engineering at major universities in 2025 and a significant number of occasional recruitment was lower than the average of each university.

According to an analysis of the competition rate of 21 universities that have newly established non-major selection, including Korea University, Ewha Womans University, and Sogang University, 15 schools were lower than the overall competition rate of each university.

The selection of no majors is a self-selective major system in which students enter college without deciding on a major and then decide on a detailed major through a career search process.

The Ministry of Education decided to support incentive project expenses after conducting an evaluation of efforts to expand student major options at universities in the metropolitan area, national universities based in the metropolitan area, and national universities centered on the state in 2025.

For this reason, many universities expanded their existing non-major selection or created new departments ahead of college admission, but it did not attract the attention of the examinees.

The low preference of test takers for non-major is attributed to the fact that the overall tendency of test takers to apply for the department they want has become clear in the aftermath of the expansion of medical school quotas.
