The 3rd Deputy Chief of the Security Office attends the International Ransomware Response Conference...a discussion of cooperation

Wang Yoon-jong, the third deputy chief of the National Security Office, visited the U.S. for three days and two nights at the invitation of the White House to discuss ways to deepen cooperation in the cybersecurity sector with key U.S. NSC officials and attend the 4th International Ransomware Response Conference.

The Ransomware Response Conference is an international consultative body led by the U.S. and involving 68 countries, and the presidential office said key U.S. officials should participate in the conference to jointly respond to the global ransomware threat and propose close cooperation among participating countries.

Our delegation discussed in-depth how to respond to ransomware and strengthen international cooperation with participating countries and participated in the joint statement on how to respond to ransomware.

At the same time, Wang held a bilateral meeting with a U.S. National Security Adviser and decided to deepen cooperation between South Korea and the U.S. on North Korea's takeover of virtual assets.
