Yesterday afternoon, local time, a solar eclipse occurred over Patagonia, which spans Argentina and Chile, with the sun, the moon, and the Earth lined up and covered by the moon.
Argentine authorities say they were able to vividly witness the eclipse's progress thanks to the clear weather in Patagonia.
Hundreds of tourists who came to Patagonia to see the eclipse in person are said to have enjoyed the space show while hugging or singing to each other.
A gold ring eclipse was also observed on Easter Island, famous for its huge Moai stone statue.
According to the Associated Press, partial solar eclipses that looked like crescent moons were also seen in Brazil, Paraguay, and Hawaii, USA.
