The KOSPI closed higher for the first time in four trading days as foreigners bought despite concerns over a collision in the Middle East.
The KOSPI closed at 2,569.71 today (4th), up 0.31% from the previous trading day.
Institutions continued their sell-off, but foreigners turned to buying in three trading days, lifting the overall index.
KOSDAQ also rose 0.9% to close at 768.98.
The local currency was trading at 1,333.7 won against the U.S. dollar as of 3:30 p.m., up 14.4 won.
