Ukra strikes daily on Russian mainland energy facilities

Ukraine is attacking mainland Russian energy facilities day after day ahead of winter.

Ukraine's military said it attacked an oil storage area in Russia's Voronezh province, which borders the country, on the morning of the 4th local time.

Ukraine's military has claimed it attacked a storage facility with 20 oil storage tanks with drones overnight and that Russian air defenses have been activated but have failed to intercept them.

Ukrainian forces also flew drones into a military airfield in Borisoglevsk, Voronesi province, early the previous day, attacking aviation fuel storage facilities and armory.

Ukraine says it is struggling with power shortages due to Russia's attack on its energy facilities and says its forces' counteroffensive targeting Russian energy is legal.

Russian forces continue their offensive on the eastern front, targeting Ukrainian logistical base Pokrovsk.

Ukrainian officials told the local daily Kyiv Independent that Russian forces had entered within 7km of Pokrovsk and nearly 80% of the infrastructure had already been destroyed.

Russia's long-running intensive attack has reduced its population from about 60,000 before the war to about 13,000 today.

Local authorities closed even train stations earlier this month as the situation worsened.
