The second day of my state visit to the Philippines.

The Yoon Suk Yeol presidents started their official schedule by attending an official welcoming ceremony at Malakanyan Palace, which serves as the Philippine president's office and official residence.

President Yoon then held a summit meeting with Philippine President Marcos for more than an hour, formed a strategic partnership, and adopted a joint declaration.

First, the two leaders agreed to strengthen strategic cooperation in the areas of national defense, defense and maritime security, including expanding the participation of our military in multinational joint exercises in the Philippines.

Subsequently, we decided to further revitalize economic cooperation and expand our scope, and signed a series of memorandums of understanding to specify this.

The Philippines seeks to expand the participation of Korean companies by providing the largest amount of support to our foreign economic cooperation fund ever for large-scale transportation and bridge construction projects.

At the same time, they signed an MOU to investigate the feasibility of resuming the construction of the Batan nuclear power plant in the Philippines, which was suspended 40 years ago in the aftermath of the U.S. nuclear accident, and decided to visualize nuclear power cooperation.

wrapped up his two-day trip to the Philippines and arrived in Singapore, his second country.

Through this state visit, the presidential office said it plans to expand the level of cooperation between the two countries to AI, digital and high-tech fields.
