Yoon Suk Yeol, who is on a state visit to Singapore, says it is true that the opposition and low approval ratings act as obstacles to healthcare reform, but he will not waver as long as there is public support.President

Yoon said in a written interview with the Singapore daily 'Straits Times' released today that all reforms come with difficulties, but none of the president, the ruling party or the opposition has the power to beat the people.

At the same time, he emphasized that he would succeed if he believed in the people and went into the people and made the reforms that the people wanted.

Yoon said the healthcare system needs to be reformed to protect the lives of the people and the nation's growth engine, explaining that the world's best healthcare services are threatened by gaps and concentrations, which is a key reason for initiating healthcare reform.

In response to the backlash from the medical community, it said it is seeking to increase compensation for essential medical care and ease the legal burden on doctors due to medical accidents.
