The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced legislative notice of amendments, including the enforcement ordinance of the Employment Insurance Act, which calls for an increase in parental leave benefits and an increase in support for alternative workers, which were announced in June.We plan to raise the parental leave salary from up to 1.5 million won per month

to up to 2.5 million won for the first three months starting next year, 2 million won for the next three months, and 1.6 million won from 7 months.

For single-parent workers, parental leave benefits will be raised from the current 2.5 million won to 3 million won for the first three months.

In addition, the subsidy for alternative workers paid for shortening parental leave, maternity leave, and working hours during the childcare period will be raised from 800,000 won per month to 1.2 million won per month.The Ministry of Employment

said it will implement the revision from January next year after the legislative notice period from the 10th to the 19th of next month, and will apply the increased salary for parental leave used after the implementation regardless of the time when the application for leave is made.
