2024.10.11 오전 08:11
The early voting for the October 16 election will be held for two days from today.

It will be held at 476 early voting centers in the area subject to by-elections.

Let's take a look at the things to be aware of.

First of all, there are a total of 5 areas subject to this by-elections.

There are four elections in Busan (Geumjeong-gu), Incheon (Ganghwa-gun), Yeonggwang and Gokseong in Jeollanam-do, and Seoul to elect superintendents.

Accordingly, early voting centers will be set up at community centers in Eup, Myeon, and Dong in the five regions where elections will be held.

Unlike this vote, in the case of early voting, voters can vote anywhere near the polling station without having to report it separately.

To vote, you need to bring your resident registration card, passport, and driver's license with your date of birth and photo attached.

If it's a mobile ID card, you can't do the image file, but you have to check your identity on the spot through the app.

After entering the polling station, the route changes depending on whether you are a voter in the office or outside the office.

If it's a polling place within your address, voters only need to receive a ballot, mark it, and put it in the ballot box.

However, at polling stations outside the address, you must put your ballot in a return envelope and put it in.

Meanwhile, illegal cameras were installed at various early voting centers during the general election in April, causing controversy.

The NEC said it will strictly respond to acts that disrupt order in polling stations, such as causing a disturbance at the polling station.

In addition, anyone can check early voting boxes and voting sites in real time through a large monitor installed at the city and provincial election watchdog office.

This voting day on the 16th is not a public holiday.

The Central Election Commission urged voters who cannot vote on Election Day to vote during the early voting period.

You can vote from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The first mini-election after the general election, why don't we exercise one precious vote if possible?
