The "Salt River Cheonghak Festival" in Gangwon-do, which marks its 48th anniversary this year, was held today (12th) around the Salt River branch of Odaesan National Park.

The festival was held with a variety of events, including a ritual to pray for the well-being of residents and tourists, a photo exhibition of the Salt River and a tea ceremony experience.

The Salt River Cheonghak Festival, which started in 1975 when the Salt River was designated as Odaesan National Park, is a cultural and artistic event representing Gangneung.

The name of the Salt River is derived from Yulgok Ii's Cheonghak-dong Heritage Book, and the mountain was named as if Geumgangsan Mountain was reduced.
