Ahead of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education by-election, conservative candidate Cho Jeon-hyuk and progressive candidate Chung Geun-sik proposed unification and policy solidarity to candidate Yun Ho-sang, respectively.Candidate

said in a commentary today that there is a growing sense of urgency to win the election to reform education, and that he is openly proposing unification to candidate Yoon.

He then said, "Once again, I earnestly ask you to reflect on the value of dedication and sacrifice for the cause," and emphasized that education can no longer be entrusted to the left.

Chung, who united with Choi Bo-sun, also said to Yoon, "If the regressive conservative candidate is elected, the field-friendly policy will disappear, and the education administration of self-righteousness, lack of communication, and conflict will lead to more confusion."

He added that we must confront unconventional regression, pro-Japanese education, and distortion of history together.

However, candidate Yoon's side said that although they heard both candidate proposals, they did not find a decisive factor to change the stance so far, and in fact expressed their intention to reject them.
