The number of Korean doctors entering Vietnam is expected to increase significantly.

Recently, a local hospital in Vietnam has also appeared, offering Korean doctors working conditions such as "44 hours a week, 30 million won a month."

According to the Chosun Ilbo, it has been confirmed that more than 30 Korean doctors have taken the English test for foreign doctors at Ho Chi Minh Medical School in Vietnam on the 2nd of next month.

Earlier, at the end of last month, they reportedly visited Ho Chi Minh for a physical examination.

According to the Korea Health Industry Promotion Agency, Vietnam does not require doctors from countries with high medical skills to submit notarized documents, such as medical licenses from their countries of origin, without requiring them to perform local qualification tests. However, they must go through a physical examination and an English test for medical personnel in Vietnam.

As of 2020, the number of doctors per 1,000 people in Vietnam was 0.99, less than half of Korea's 2.5.

Currently, there is a high demand for plastic surgery and dermatology as well as emergency medicine and dentists in Vietnam.

As the number of Korean doctors who want to enter Vietnam increases, intermediaries that act on behalf of local communication and document notarization are also reportedly thriving.

In particular, inquiries from resignation majors have increased this year. An official from a brokerage firm said, "Some resignation doctors are not satisfied with their working conditions after getting a job at the opening of the hospital and are considering expanding overseas."
