Professor at Seoul Medical University, "Government should stop arbitrary distortion of research on estimating the number of doctors."

Professors at Seoul National University of Medicine have urged the government to stop arbitrary distortion after analyzing three studies that the government previously cited as the basis for the increase in medical schools.

The Seoul National University Hospital professor's emergency committee issued a statement today (17th) and analyzed that the estimation results may vary significantly even within the same research model, depending on the assumptions and scenarios applied to all three studies.

For this reason, the study authors also said that their findings should not be interpreted as the basis for the increase of 2,000 people.

He also stressed that the current system, where national medical expenses are soaring and insurance finances are depleted, needs improvement, and that a new estimation study is needed instead of research based on the existing system.
